The doctor, using a thin needle or cannula, injects the hyaluronic acid-based preparation into the deep layers of the skin and shapes the filler for even distribution. Only a slight spreading in the subcutaneous tissues can be felt. The hyaluronic acid fills and lifts the facial skin which gives the impression of a fuller and younger face. At the same time, it looks natural, as if there was no interference with its shape and structure at all. Sometimes so-called collagen stimulators are used, such as polylactic acid or calcium hydroxyapatite. These stimulate the body to produce its own collagen.
Changes can be noticed immediately after the administration of the preparation. The total effect of the procedure, on the other hand, is visible after about two to three weeks and can last up to 18 months.
